Welcome to the 2012 Schoolyear

Welcome! It is another exciting year here at Perrydale! We have a lot of new teachers, opportunities, and class offerings. Here are a few reminders to get us started:
1. Once your students receive a username and password, please check on their progress regularly. Call or email with any questions.
2. Make sure that students are getting plenty of sleep and drinking a lot of water. Our brains need these basic things to be at their best! Feel free to bring water bottles to class.
3. Use this website as a resource. There are many links and pieces of helpful information to help students and parents alike.
I am looking forward to an amazing year full of educational adventures, friendships, and growth.

Very Important Dates!!

Here are some very important dates for parents and students to know. I want to thank everyone for their flexibility with due dates on these things. With our student teacher, snow days and delays, and state testing we have had to move things around quite a bit.

Science Fair Projects are due in their entirety March 19!! That is Monday. They will be set up and displayed on the 20th for all to see and be judged.

Poet Projects are due April 3rd. That is the Tuesday after Spring Break. They should be assembled and brought in ready to present.

This term is quickly coming to a close! I need all missing work by April 3rd. It will not be accepted after that. I will be doing report cards the Friday after break.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Very Important Information on Bullying!!!!!

Because of some recent bullying issues, Mrs. Stoutt came to our room to have a very serious discussion about bullying with our class. To protect our students and prevent bullying in our school, and especially among our classmates, a new policy has been put into effect. Any student in the sixth grade, found to be bullying others will be immediately suspended from school after investigation of the incident. Everyone has been warned. We want all students to feel safe!! Please feel free to call or e-mail Mrs. Stoutt, Mrs. McCartney, or myself if you have any questions. Thank you!
